Pair of Silver Plated Bottle Coasters, c.1930s-50s George VI 1930s 1940s %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
This is a handsome Pair of Large Silver Plated Wine Bottle Coasters with turned wood bases. The coasters are circular with bowed sides and the top rims are decorated with vine leaves and grapes. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.

The coasters were made in Sheffield and date to around the 1930s to 1950s, or perhaps just a little earlier. There is no makers' mark that we can find so we are unable to say who they were manufactured by.

Condition is very good, with no significant plate loss and just the superficial surface wear that has to be expected with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

Each coaster is 18.9cm / 7.4ins in diameter and stands 5.8cm / 2.3ins high. The pair together weigh in at a hefty 1.25kg / 44.1oz.

The base is stamped Silver Plated on Copper, Made in England and Sheffield.

Shipping in the UK is £6.00 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
