Pair of French c19th marble Cassolettes cassolette cassolettes pair of cassolette %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Very good quality pair of French 19th century marble and gilt brass Cassolettes and in lovely original condition in the Louis xvi style.
Unusual to find such a pair in this type of marble, but more so the gilt brass mounts are a design which I have not seen before to the sides. Very elegant and very decorative.
The cassolettes are finished on both sides as you would expect, with floral and foliate garlands to the body of the urns and they both have original acorn finials to the tops.
The marble to both cassolettes is in good condition, cleaned and buffed.
A really good pair and unusual, perfect decorative pieces to place anywhere, such as a console table, server or sideboard, sofa table or perhaps also as fire mantle decor.
These are a good proportion, not from a antique clock garniture set.
Measuring:
18' or 46cm high
4 3/4'' or 12cm square bases
