A really fine and unusual pair of Sheffield silver plate wine or Champagne coolers dating to the early 19th century, around 1840.l

A very elegant shape, each side is adorned with a ring handle held by a grand Ram's head. Each of the buckets is engraved to the front with the original owner's Armorial crest of a A Hare Courant, I believe this to the crest of the Birch family.

Excellent condition measuring 8 1/2" handle to handle x 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" tall.
