Circa 1920, good Louis XV style French marquetry and ormolu mounted fold over card table. The shaped top is profusely inlaid with various woods depicting exotic birds, musical instruments, sheet music, swags and tails. The outer edge has kingwood banding and the fore edge has a stylish ormolu mount with foliate casting. The top swivels and opens to reveal a marquetry inlaid border and green felt lined surface. The front, sides and back have a shaped apron with ebony back and is again profusely inlaid with marquetry similar to the top. The whole piece stands on four elegant cabriole legs with ormolu mounts on the knees with foliate casting which continues down the fore edge and finishes in foliate cast sabots.

Size 74cm high x 84cm wide x 45cm deep.
