A wonderful mantle vase signed by Constance Spry on the base. I believe that this particular design was commissioned by the Humfrey Wakefield Pottery on the Isles of Scilly and features the HW mark. It has an all over olive green glaze and measures 28cm long (handle to handle) / 10cm high and 10cm across the top. The true colour best shown in photo 4. No chips, cracks or nibbles. Just some fine age related crazing which adds character. A rare item and a must for Constance Spry collectors.
