Here we have a very elegant Art Nouveau 9ct Gold, Amethyst and Seed Pearl brooch / pendant. It is heart shaped with a trio of amethysts at the top, a single drop amethyst at the bottom and the flowers in the interior decorated with seed pearls.

There is a loop at the top so that it can be worn as a pendant on a chain and a pin across the back so that it can be worn as a brooch.

The combination of gold, amethyst and pearl was a very popular one in the Art Nouveau era and the blend of colours and the delicate metalwork still look wonderfully stylish today.

Condition is good with no dings or damage to the fine goldwork. All the stones and seed pearls are intact. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The brooch / pendant is 5cm from top to bottom and 3.2cm across the width of the heart shape. It weighs 2.7g.

The back of the item is stamped 9ct on one of the leaves. As with most antique jewellery from this era, it was below the weight which required it to be fully hallmarked.
