Dating to around 1890, I haven't had an open salt like this for several years, this Victorian figural silver plated salt is as charming as they get.

The wheels move, to push around the dinner table, the adorable winged cherub is pushing a basket weave wheelbarrow, which is washed in gold / gilded and has a decorative scythe and ears of wheat sitting inside.

This wheelbarrow can be removed from the cherub's hands to sit on the table if one wishes, and secured back with the aide of little pin which slots into the base.

A wonderful piece, in excellent condition. 5 1/2" long, the salt measuring 4" at widest x 4 3/8" tall.
