An unusual Victorian Claret Jug dating to around 1880. The figural handle has the face of Bacchus on and the silver plated mounts encompass the body of the just with pierced or reticulated mounts surrounding the glass. The neck of the jug has an almost Celtic Gothic quatrefoil decoration to it.

The glass is beautifully wheel engraved to create a glamorous and decorative example. Excellent condition standing 10" tall.
