A fine watercolour by the artist A.D.Bell signed and dated 1943 entitled "Into the Night."A.D.Bell was a pseudonym used by the listed artist Wilfred Knox who specialized in the subject of Clipper sailing ships.Knox used the A.D.Bell alias when painting for an art dealer in Birmingham where he was born in 1884.He was under contract to produce paintings for Frost and Reed in the name of Wilfred Knox.He served in the Royal Flying Corps during World War One, he died in 1966.
