Wood Carving %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
19th century indian teak carving of an elephant with a mahout sitting in front of a howdah in which a single figure sits. There are some indications that originaly there had been a second figure in the howdah. Good carving, orginal colour and finish. A nice naive interpretation.
