Very interesting early Victorian Writing Slope. This unusual design has a secret section in the very top which is operated by a very well hidden internal mechanism, I have not come across one like this before and all will be revealed to the purchaser. Wonderful brass military concealed handles for ease of carrying adorn either side. Internally this has a fold out writing section with a black tooled leather insert. In the section under the writing slope there are two small drawers an extra hidden little area. The slope has a pen tray section and two matching inkwells. This really is a wonderful item in excellent condition and would make that perfect present.
