Victorian Mahogany Box, Original Key & Blue Lining
An elegant Victorian mahogany box, lined in original turquoise blue satin, made in England in the 1880s. Originally a sewing or work box, it has a beautiful fan motif in contrasting satinwood on the lid and front, and a working lock with its original decorative key. It would make a fabulous antique jewellery or keepsake box, and a perfect gift for a man or woman. The original black leather is on the base to protect your table top. .
Dimensions: Width 29cm, Depth 16cm, Height 9cm.
The box is in excellent condition, with very minor marks and signs of age, particularly to the leather on the base.
