Unused Vintage Stratton Powder Compact 1960s
The images do not do this gorgeous vintage accessory justice. This compact is adorned with bronzed enamel.
This vintage compact is suitable for use with modern loose and pressed / solid face powder or as a handbag mirror.
An outstandingly good bronze enamel 1960s Stratton " Slim Convertible " powder compact. The lid is decorated with the most glorious enamel made to look like bronze - brown with most subtle golden highlights which does indeed look like bronze. The lid is decorated with white floral motifs surrounded by gilt foliage. It is unused and in superb condition and comes with all the original accessories - Stratton presentation box, instruction leaflet, pretty pink silk puff and velour edged sifter. The puff is signed "Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND". The sifter is also very pretty. It has a cream velour edge and tab. The stitches are salmon pink silk thread. The whole item is absolutely beautiful and there isn't any enamel loss. The second image is a dull over head shot where no light is reflecting on the enamel. We have included this image so that potential customers will be able to see the superlative condition of the enamel. When you see items of this quality it reaffirms exactly why the vintage Stratton brand has such a loyal and appreciative following. These accessories are so well made they will never tarnish or need cleaning. They were coated at the point of manufacture with a layer of lacquer which protects the brass and prevents tarnishing. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. Image four is also a dull over head shot. In person the base gleams and it is highly reflective / shiny, golden and glorious!
