A gorgeous antique silver plated Djer Kiss compact which dates to 1925. This Art Nouveau antique is in super condition. The repoussage image of two fairies kissing surrounded by Art Nouveau flowers, all framed by a circular band from which radians emerge is delightful. The area just above the thumb catch is signed "Djer Kiss". The lid opens easily to reveal the powder well, the original face powder puff and the removable powder plate. The mirror gives a very good clear reflection. This mirror opens on a hinge to reveal another mirror for the application of rouge. The original full rouge plate is present, as is the original rouge puff. This mirror also gives a very good reflection. The mirror for the rouge compartment is a magnifying mirror & the mirror for the face powder compartment is a standard mirror. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. Such an enchanting piece of compact history! The base is decorated with radians which echo the design of the lid. In the middle a circular band and a hammered finish. This compact measures 5 cm x 5.2 cm and weighs 59 grams.
