Sheep at rest in a Stable, Albert Jackson of Leeds

A beautiful 19th century oil on panel depicting sheep at rest in a stable. The painting is by Albert Jackson of Leeds and is signed to the left corner and bears his name on the gilt mount. This is in its original gilt frame and is in excellent order. The picture measures 18" by 15" overall, including the frame.
Albert Jackson (born in Leeds 1873) was a illustrator and painter in both oil and watercolour. He studied at the Camden School of Art and records show he exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1901. He was also a member of the East Sussex Art Club.
