An original pair of oak hat stands in the art deco manner dating to approximately 1920. These are tall stands at 39 inches high on 6 inch square chamfered and stepped base with a gently tapering four-sided column. These are all original, the mushroom tops with original plush cover (showing age and use), plus the nut and bolt fitting under the base.

These have been gently cleaned and waxed, the patina has not been affected, they are lovely examples of period shop displays. The plush is a little worn in places, to be expected. One of the mushrooms has split and been repaired in the past. Otherwise, the stands are ready to use, nice and solid, stand is upright and doesn't wobble, the mushrooms are fixed onto a turned spigot and firm, the repaired split is identified but does not affect the performance, both stands are as good as each other.
