From the War office this Edward viii is a rare piece.

Edward viii only reigned from January to December 1936 before abdicating, the desk was manufactured by the premier maker Wake and Dean in that year.

The desk is in very good condition, solid, no loose joints, and the drawers run smoothly. There are brass cup handles to both drawers and brass ferrules to the leg feet.

The dark green skiver is in excellent condition, no defects.
