A superb golden wedding anniversary gift for her!
This 9ct gold Edwardian era double portrait locket suspended from an elegant 9 carat gold necklace.
This highly ornate solid gold keepsake locket was crafted by the esteemed goldsmith W. H. Collins & Co.
This antique locket was assayed (tested for gold purity) at Birmingham Assay Office in 1909.
The anterior surface features a shield shaped cartouche topped by two ferns.
These central motifs are framed by acanthus leaves and forget-me-not flowers.
The shield motif conveys the desire to protect.
Ferns represent sincerity.
Acanthus leaves symbolise the desire for longevity.
Forget-me-not flowers express the feelings of deep love and respect.
The posterior surface is also ornamented with acanthus leaves.
The interior compartments are fitted with the original gold frames, clear portrait protectors and beautiful royal blue liners onto which photographs can easily be attached.
This antique pendant is suitable to hold two photographs, locks of hair or miniature portraits.
All clasps and hinges work perfectly.
