Edwardian Arts and Crafts Quartered Oak Dresser
We have for sale a highly decorative arts and crafts light oak dresser dating to around 1900-1905.
This rather lovely arts and crafts quartered oak dresser consists of an upper and lower section.
The upper section is made up of a removable pediment on a top shelf supported by two beautifully shaped supports over a central lockable cupboard glazed with stained leaded glass sitting on a second swept-back shelf all over a long mirror.
This upper section sits on a very well proportioned base with an overhung top over two drawers complete with their original arts and crafts ring handles over and a further two lockable cupboards again complete with their original copper hinge tails and handles. The base in turn is supported on tapered square legs. What is particularly remarkable about this dresser is it has also retained two original keys, one shown in the lock of the upper central glazed cupboard and the second shown in the lock of the cupboard on the left hand side of the base. The keys are identical and all the locks are original and working.
The dresser is 73 inches (185cm) high, 60 inches (152.4cm) long and 22.5 inches (57cm) deep. The dresser is in a very good to excellent antique condition.
