beautifully inlaid with mother of pearl floral wreath decorations, the lid opens to a lovely fitted interior with stationery compartments, pen rest with storage well below, inkwells and purple velvet writing slope, one inkwell with hidden release mechanism which, when activated, reveals three secret drawers.
this is an absolutely stunning box not done justice by the photographs.
