The Encyclopaedia of Poultry by J. Stephen Hicks. Published by the Waverley Book Co as a special subscribers edition. In two volumes and very nearly 600 pages in all. No publishing date but The Poultry Club Standards included as a 60 page supplement to the second volume are the Sixth Edition of 1923 so main encyclopaedia must be around that date or shortly after..
Complete with all illustrations. Text and green rexine spine and board coverings are good apart from some knocks and abrasions to corners but it should be noted that volume one has some pulling to binding although there are no loose or detached pages. In all a very presentable and useful reference set for those who keep, or who are simply interested our domestic feathered friends.
