A Coty butterfly wing compact mirror made in the 1930s. The lid decoration is very beautiful. In the foreground the silhouette of a charming beach. The Blue Morpho wing background shimmers in the light. There isn't any fading or loss of design. The antique brass case has a dark patina. The original powder plate is in situ. The gilded interior contains the original signed puff and a good mirror.The base of the compact is signed 'COTY PARIS'. There is some tarnish on the base which I will leave. Measures slightly over 2" and weighs 37.7 grams.
