Arts & Crafts American Reclining Mission Chair
An Arts & Crafts American reclining mission chair of large proportions, and made of solid oak. The chair has three reclining positions by using the adjustable bar at the rear. The arms are supported by side brackets and vertical through tenons, and stands on square legs and original castors.
Newly and professionally upholstered with the backrest cushion feather filled and internally divided into three pockets to stop the feathers separating and falling to the bottom. The cushion is removable and held in place with loops to the top. The sprung seat and backrest cushion have been covered in a new leather hide.
In excellent condition.

110cm deep when fully reclined. Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
