Art Nouveau Alabaster Bust of a Woman c.1900
Delightful Art Nouveau era alabaster bust of a young woman c.1900. A smiling young woman with loosely tied hair with a little tiara at the front and dressed in light flowing fabric typical of the reformed fashion of the period (rather than the more constraining styles of the 19th.c). With a lily of the valley leaf and flowers, symbol of purity and happiness. Mounted on matching base and heavy black marble plinth (8″ square). Some minor damage to the edges of the leaf and missing the tip of the tiara, otherwise very good condition.
