Antique Victorian mahogany Astragal Library Bookcase and dating from around 1890. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a carved pediment to the cornice top above an open shelf and two astragal glazed doors with original brass handle and with two internal adjustable shelves. There is a deep recess with shaped side supports and to the base there is a moulded edge to the top above two drawers both of which are mahogany lined with original brass handles above two panelled doors each with two small carved panels above a single fielded panel and brass handle and with internal shelf. It stands on bracket feet and the top separates for ease of transporting.

Measures 94" high x height to top of base 35" x 20.5" deep ( internal depth 12.5") x 44" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
