A very unusual and desirable 19th Century papier mâché and lacquer music or reading table in the manner of Jennens & Bettridge. The beautifully shaped and adjustable top having mother-of-pearl and painted flowers decoration with a removable book or music rest. The brass stem is height adjustable and the unusual spiral twist base has painted and gilded decoration, the whole raised on carved cabriole legs. Condition - Very god with very little wear to the gilding. Dimensions:- Max.Height…52.5’’/ 133.5cm. Width…19’’/ 48.5cm. Depth…18’’/ 45.5cm. Minimum Height…29.5’’/ 75cm.
