Antique Lagaros half hunter pocket watch by Record
Antique Lagaros half hunter pocket watch by Record, super condition.
The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement, signed Lagaros, which is working nicely. Lagaros was a brand name registered by the Record Watch Company in 1924. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a 1929 inscription.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Moon model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, a Birmingham based case manufacturer and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in lovely condition. The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in lovely condition (some reflection showing in the photos).
The dial is in lovely condition, and it has blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in its original presentation box from a Stoke Newington jeweller.
