Ambrose Heal Oak Reclining Armchair
An Arts & Crafts oak reclining armchair designed by Ambrose Heal for Heals of London c1905. The frame has a reclining ladderback backrest, open shaped arms and stands on square legs. Stamped "Sesame Lounge" and registered design no 466805. Newly and fully upholstered to include new foam and webbing, and covered in a good quality William Morris 100% linen fabric.
The underneath of the right armrest has a small repair (seen on image). In very good condition, no loose joints.
116cmH x 69cmW x 89cmL Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
