A vintage 1940s Art Deco Roamer Sport wrist watch
A vintage 1940s Art Deco Roamer Sport wrist watch.
The watch has a hand winding movement which is working well. The movement is stamped Roamer Watch Co, Swiss, fifteen 15 jewels unadjusted.
The watch was originally made as a gents watch although it would suit a slimmer wrist and also work as a ladies watch. The watch measures 19.7 mm wide excluding the winding crown and 37 mm high including the lugs. The gold plated case has some wear and surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition for a 1940s piece. The stainless steel case back is stamped Roamer Watch Co Swiss.
The bevelled watch glass is in nice condition.
The dial is signed Roamer Sport. The two tone dial has some wear to the finish although it has a great vintage look.
The watch has blued steel hands.
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
