19th Century Japanned Wheel Barometer
An interesting 19th century wheel/banjo mercury barometer, black japanned with painted and gilt foliate decoration enhanced with mother of pearl. It has a silvered 10 inch dial and thermometer. Inscribed on the dial T. B WINTER, 53 GREY STREET, NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE.
