1958 Keep Britain tidy poster by Reginald Mount
During 1958 the British government issued several posters designed to raise public awareness to the increasing amount of litter that was despoiling the landscape....and remember this was before the age of foul fast food outlets!
Almost certainly the most well known of these was this one designed by Reginald Mount. Measuring 740mm by 480mm this example is in pretty good condition with minimal tearing at the top and bottom of its original folds and a couple of tiny others elsewhere. Colours remain bright with no fading and will frame extremely well.
Quite a rare poster, despite its wide circulation over sixty years ago, but not quite rare enough, we feel, to justify a price of £750 that some clown is seeking on another site!.....perhaps they are a clairvoyant however!
At 195 ours includes insured postage (in a card roll) to any UK address. All items are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations which give buyers the right to cancel the purchase within seven days after receipt of the item for a full refund less RETURN transport costs
