The perfect mantique Christmas gift, a lovely 1935 Omega cushion wrist watch.

This medium sized (2.8cm or approximately 1 inch wide, excluding the crown) cushion shaped 1930s gold filled Omega watch consists of an excellent original Omega signed dial with an outer minute chapter and an inner hour chapter marked in Arabic numerals. The face is completed with near perfect original minute and hour hands and a subsidiary second dial at the six o'clock position. The dial sits beneath a pristine mineral crystal. The watch is housed in a Dennisson gold filled brass cushion shaped case with fixed lugs. The case is in a good vintage condition, however there is some wear through to the gold filling towards the edge of the case. This adds rather than detracts to the patina of the watch. Opening the case reveals that the inside of case back is marked Moon, This case Guaranteed 20 Years, Dennison, Made in England along with the serial number 261146, 38. The inside of the case back also carries numerous watch makers marks indicating that the watch has been regularly serviced.

Opening the case also reveals the 15 jewel Omega signed movement which is also marked with the Omega serial number 8473066 dating the watch to 1935. The watch has just returned from being serviced by our watchmaker and is ticking away nicely.

The watch is presented on a new replacement brown leather strap and like all our watches at Penrose Antiques Ltd is being sold with a full 12 month warranty.
