A fine longcase clock by William Copper of Derby (1726-1802) This good antique clock by a good maker is quite typical of antique clocks made in Derby at this time .The all Oak case is a very nice golden oak colour with nice patination .The architectural pediment to the hood is an attractive feature .It is not a large clock but quite slim with long trunk door and very attractive to the eye .
The brass dial is silvered and hands original .The 8 day movement is of good quality and been recently serviced .
William copper is a well regarded maker and his clocks of good quality.
