Welsh Antique Painted Pine Monks Bench
19th Century Painted Pine Antique Monks Bench.
This Welsh antique Monks bench is a versatile and useful piece of painted pine antique furniture.
Originally, from the Pembrokeshire area of South Wales and it dates to around the mid 19th century.
In solid yellow pine and still with the original paint finish, this antique monks bench has a moulded and panelled base with sledge feet, the seat lifts up to provide a storage area.
The turned arm supports also provide the table top support for when the bench is used as a table.
Both an antique settle/bench and a pine table.
Welsh antique Monks benches are becoming very scarce to find in such original and good condition.
Traditionally made with the pegged method, in very solid, un damaged condition.
