Circa 1900. An interesting and stylish carved walnut, Bergere and upholstered sofa or window seat. The raised upholstered back with carved top rail with acanthus carving on the ends, the curved and shaped arm finishing with a well carved rams head supported on a shaped and carved upright with double caning in the center. The upholstered seat with mouldings to the outside with carved and shaped frieze with flower heads on each corner, all resting on four carved turned tapering legs. Recently reupholstered traditionally.
