This is an unusual and very pretty occasional table in the Aesthetic style which dates from around 1890. The base of the table is very much in the manner of Gillows with it's smart turned, ebonised walnut legs and gilded highlights. The top of the table has a beautiful beadwork panel (some minor losses, see photos) depicting a pretty castle scene within a velvet surround. The table has a Brighton antique furniture makers label to the base, it is 64 cms high and it's top is 48 cms square.
