Privately purchased from a local home this lamp was bought on the Kings Road in London from Christopher Wray, possibly in the 70s or early 80s. The glass shade still bears the label (see images).
This is a very fine table lamp, adjustable to a modest degree at both the base and shade by virtue of wing nuts. The body is made from brass, in a satin finish. The lamp turns on and off at the base with a very satisfactory rocker switch - see images, set in the weighted base, making a very good candidate for a bedside reading light. The colours of the moulded glass shade suit that purpose too, with a bright white interior for good quality illumination, while the green outer means any spreading light is subdued. Condition is exceptional, with a good long gold coloured cable and fused UK three pin plug. The shade is unblemished with no scratches, cracks or flea bites.
