An unusual BURMANTOFTS Art Pottery vase with faience glaze and raised hand painted impasto decoration of Irises. Produced in the Burmantofts Leeds Pottery between 1882 and 1904, both the the shape and the decoration of irises are not common.

Faint Burmantofts stamp to base with pattern no. 257. Very good antique condition, small nibble to glaze (see pic 6) and the usual fine age crazing. Height ~375mm, handle-to-handle ~ 210mm. Weight ~ 2.9kg
