An attractive and good quality Syrian “ Moorish" marquetry games table for cards, chess, draughts and backgammon The top lifts to reveal a baised inset playing surface which also lifts to the removable backgammon board with the chess board to the reverse. Raised on serpentine shaped legs with joining cross stretchers. The whole profusely micro inlaid with geometric designs in boxwood, ebony, bone, olive and various other exotic woods. Condition- Very good. Dimensions:- Height…31.25’’/ 84cm. Width…32’’/ 79.5cm. Depth…16’’/ 40.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £50.
