Staffordshire Dog Clock Group circa 1860
This Victorian Staffordshire Dog Clock Group dates from circa 1860. It is well-modelled and with good definition to the Dogs’ coats. The two attendant Dogs are brought to life by the skilful painting. The colours are bright and the figure is in good condition with no restoration.
There is a small, old surface chip to the back edge which is shown in the photograph. The dark line just above it is original paint under the glaze.
