Neat little French couch or window seat c.1950. Padded backrest and arms over a shallow sprung seat with a loose cushion upholstered in a striking red and gold striped velvet. Slim carved frame with scrolling acanthus leaves to the top of the sides. Raised on four moulded and tapering square legs front and rear with papyrus leaf detail. Original duck egg blue and gilded paintwork. Good condition with serviceable upholstery, presented as found.
