Quality ‘Stormograph’ or recording barometer by Short & Mason of London c.1960. The drum rotates on a clockwork mechanism whilst the inked nib rises and falls with barometric pressure. Paper charts marked with the hours and days are fitted to the drum resulting in a full week’s record of the changes in atmospheric conditions. Mahogany case with glass cover and drawer in the base containing plenty of blank charts and the original instruction leaflet.
