This is a set of late 19th century Chinese gouache watercolour paintings on pith paper of exotic fruit and foliage in their original black narrow wood frames. They form an attractive set - beautifully executed - of a rare and desirable subject matter.

Dimensions: 364 x 272mm, 13mm depth
Weight 740g

Condition: Generally in good antique condition, the one depicting berries has been repaired on verso with conservation tape (there are some minor losses within the image which are just about visible in the close-up photograph). Like many pith paintings the paper is somewhat uneven.
