This is a set of 6 vintage terrace chairs. A Middle Eastern, teak folding veranda steamer chair, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1970.
Striking set in the manner of traditional steamer deck chairs

Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order

Teak stocks present rich russet hues with fine grain interest

Inlaid brass shimmers with appealing golden tones
Shaped top rail with a distinctive, inset Ottoman calligraphy emblem

Arranged with four pierced back splats of gently bowed form

Each splat accentuated with inlaid brass scrolling vines

Shaped arm rests host a repeat of the scrolling vine motif
Shaped saddle with four pierced slats offer a relaxed, seating angle

Standing upon an A-frame, each seat bold in profile with canted arms

Each square section leg united with a stretcher rail for stability

Folding with ease, the saddle articulates upright to aid vertical storage
