Set of 10 Heals Oak Portcullis Chairs
A set of 10 oak dining chairs designed by Ambrose Heal (model 1020) for Heal & Son c.1916. Known as the Portcullis chair, an example of this chair was shown at the 1916 Arts & Crafts exhibition. This design is much sought after and it is incredibly rare to find such a long original set. This set dates from c.1920.
