A Very Lovely Set of Six Antique Minton Tiles

Beautifully designed tiles, by John Moyr Smith for Minton China Works, Stoke on Trent.

Deftly printed in monochrome black against a warm ground and depicting numerous biblical / religious scenes.

Highly decorative and great additions to any Minton and / or tile collection.

Dimensions -

Five tiles approx: 6 inches square
One tile slightly smaller at 5 7/8ths inches square.

Condition -

One tile has been broken and repaired (please see the relevant photo). The others are generally very good and free from major faults or restoration, with only minor blemishes to the edges, as shown. One tile does have a larger chip away verso (running along the back edge), but this does not infringe on the viewable design to the front of the tile.
