Royal Doulton Art Nouveau Stoneware Ewer c1905

Art Nouveau Royal Doulton stoneware ewer by Louisa Wakely c1905. Classic Doulton ewer with baluster form body with elongated S-shaped handle and pinched rim. Stylised tube-lined Art Nouveau floral and foliate design around the body with deep-blue glaze to foot and neck. Impressed Doulton Lambeth mark and monogram (LW) for Louisa Wakely. The ewer is 25 cm in height and 10 cm in diameter.
This ewer is in very good original condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. Very minor surface abrasion to shoulder - not visible when on display and unable to capture in images. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
Louisa Wakely (LW) worked at Doulton from 1876 to c1905. She is listed in 1882 as a Senior Assistant. The Royal Doulton impressed mark on this ewer was introduced in 1902 - dating this ewer between 1902 and c1905. Viewing by appointment only.
