A nice New Hall coffee can with charming bat printed scenes over coloured with enamels, one side with a scene of young lovers, a shepherdess being played music to by a young man lying under a tree, and the other with a landscape view of a cottage on the bank of a river. Gilt rims and handle detail. Decorator's mark underneath. c.1815.

It measures 6.4cm (2 1/2") high and 6.7cm (2 5/8") rim to rim.

Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Minor handling wear a bit of rubbing to the gilt on top of the rim and a couple of tiny nicks to the enamel on the landscape scene. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
