Rat-tail Candlestick C1800 Late 18th very early 19th century
A very fine example of its kind with a turned fruitwood base and still retaining its traveller to lift the candle as it burns. The base has nice signs of being turned on a pole lathe and historic worm which, already dead, has been treated again as a reassurance to you.
