rare example of an original bakers cabinet by TH Tonge, The bakery fitters, Pendleton, Manchester which comprises of a panelled pine cupboard containing 9 large iron bound drawers on iron runners, all with recessed brass handles and all complete with their original wire bases which would have allowed the bread to cool after it was baked, raised on castors for ease of movement.
with marks / scuffs / and general wear and tear commensurate with age and use ( some old, long dead worm holes ) as one would expect from a piece such as this but overall this bakers cupboard is extremely heavy, substantially constructed and really is a great surviving item of our industrial heritage which can still be used in a multitude of ways today.
